Since 2025, as approved in Resolution No. 20, the national contest for posts has become a showcase.
Department Adjutants will be able to submit:
- 1 one-year digital Department history for contest and showcase (these entries will be judged and showcased on the online exhibit)
- 1 one-year hard-copy Post history for showcase (these entries will be showcased at the 2026 National Convention in Louisville, KY)
- 1 one-year digital Post history for showcase (these entries will be showcased on the online exhibit)
Entries in the digital Department Contest should consist of one PDF file not to exceed 100MB and need to be submitted digitally no later than Aug. 1, 2026. Submission details, including the website for submission, will be provided directly to Department Adjutants via communication from the National Historian.
Entries in the Post Showcase (digital and hard copy) need to be submitted digitally and be received by the Library Division at National no later than Aug. 7, 2026. Digital entries should consist of one PDF file that does not exceed 100MB. Submission details, including the website for submissions, will be provided to Department Adjutants via communication from the National Historian.
Entries for both the contest and the showcase will only be considered official if they are submitted by the Department Adjutant through the specific submission website that is provided by the National Historian.
For Wisconsin Posts, County Council, and Districts, Yearbooks to be judged for competition are due at Portage HQ by June 12th. These will be judged by the Department Historian and, if needed, by members of the Wisconsin Historians Association. The winning yearbook will be sent to National HQ as the Department of Wisconsin’s entry for the Showcase at the National Convention in Lexington, KY. All physical submissions will be returned. If the Department’s winning yearbook is in digital format, it will be showcased on the National HQ page.
Yearbooks to be submitted for the non-judged Wisconsin Historians Showcase are due at Portage HQ by June 12th. All physical submissions will be returned.
